It is immense pleasure to say that Matoshri Shantabai Gote College Arts, Commerce and Science college was established in the year 2000 with Single Arts Faculty at Washim with the ideas of late Principal Shankarrao Gote. After the establishment of the college, it has aspired a significant contribution to the educational development of Washim. Now today, The College does not only conduct traditional courses like B.A., B.Com. B.Sc. but also it offered business/ career oriented courses like B. VOC., Beauty and Wellness last year. It also tries to start short term certificate/ Diploma/ Degree courses in this year Under Govt. of India Khel Manatralaya and affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati Like 1) Certificate Course in Tally 2) Certificate Course in Desk Top Publishing 3) Certificate Course in Cashier 4) Certificate Course in Chemical Processing 5) Certificate Course in Soft Skills and Development 6) Certificate Course in Renewable Energy 7) Certificate Course in CNC Technology 8) Diploma in Astronomy 9) Diploma in course in Naturopathy and Yoga Therapy 10) Diploma in Computer Accounting. The college has launched four Research Centers under The Parent University SGBAU for Ph. D. Research Scholars 1 Ph. D. Research Center in Public Administration: 4 Research Scholars Enrolled working Ph. D. RC 2) Ph. D. Research Center in Sociology: 4 Research Scholars Enrolled working Ph. D. RC 3) Ph. D. Research Center in Geography: 1 Research Scholars Enrolled, working Ph. D. RC 4) Ph. D. Research Center in Philosophy: Research Scholars has to Enroll working Ph. D. RC as well as it runs various courses under Yashwantrao Chavan and Lokmanya Tilak Open University for the purpose of educating various sections of the society.

Matoshri Shantabai Gote College Arts Commerce and Science Washim is run by Prabhu Shri Ramchandra Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Tondgaon and affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Under the leadership of Dr. Narayanrao Gote, the current president of the organization, The College has got 2 F and 12 B status of University Grants Commission and B status of NAAC in First Cycle Accreditation process. Our college has also won various awards at the university level.

Today there are nearby 20 Full time Employees and 23 Faculties on CHB in the college out of which approximately thirteen have Ph.D. Degree. Many teachers have designed various books based on the syllabus. To date, several state and national level seminars have been organized in the college. The college has also edited a number of books on the topic chosen for the seminar. Of course, in terms of literature and research, the college has made an impression on the people in the college.

Matoshri Shantabai Gote College covers an area of about Two acres. The college has an independent building. The building has a well equipped library, computer room and science laboratories. There is also a large playground for students to play. A canteen has to propose to set up for college students only. CCTVs Vigilance has also been installed at various places in the college premises for security purposes.

The college seasonally/Yearly conducts tree planting, Carrot Grass eradication, blood donation camps, examination guidance workshops, sports and cultural gatherings, participation in youth festivals, anniversaries and celebrations.
